From the dimly lit chandeliers to the vintage wine bottles lining the walls, Boucherie West Village manages to capture the essence of a Parisian bistro while still feeling distinctly New York.

Let’s talk about the menu-one that strikes a perfect balance between French culinary traditions and a contemporary twist. You’ll find dishes that are both familiar and inventive, each made with high-quality ingredients. The drink menu is equally impressive, with an extensive selection of wines that perfectly complement the dishes. From French reds to crisp whites, each wine is carefully chosen to pair beautifully with the menu offerings. If you're in the mood for something stronger, their crafted cocktails provide a modern twist on classic drinks. • Spectacular service, food, and vibe. Every dish was 11/10 and our server Yusef was fabulous. The decor for the holidays is so special. You must try the French onion soup! We had the onion soup, escargot, steak frite, mushroom ravioli, and the scallops. Espresso martini was amazing as well! Perfect lunch for the holiday. And I can’t compliment the playlist enough! Joyful through and through.

  • I visited New York for the first time, and I can recommend this restaurant to anyone. During your trip to New York, you should definitely come here the atmosphere , the service, the food, the music, everything was perfect. It was exactly how I imagined a classic New York restaurant: cozy, beautifully designed, and full of character. Our waiter, Dimitri, was incredibly attentive and friendly. He helped us choose our dishes when we couldn’t decide and made sure everything was served quickly and just right. I haven’t experienced service this good in a long time. Highly recommended!

  • Last night’s dinner was genuinely enjoyable! Even though the place was packed, the Christmas decorations and warm lighting gave it a really cozy feel. If you’re sat in the middle of the ground floor it will get cramped, however, we were lucky to be sat along the side. Service was solid, he was great! Our server, Turgut, was friendly, charming, and more than willing to take all the photos we wanted, without disturbing the other tables. He wasn’t overly chatty, not hovering, just around when we needed him. Given how busy it was, the staff handled things well. We waited a bit before being seated, but nothing that threw off the night. The food was genuinely delicious! The table went quiet, which says everything. Growing up in France, it was actually nice to taste dishes that felt familiar, like a little flashback to French comfort food done right. Overall, it delivered exactly what you’d expect: good food, a warm atmosphere, and a night that feels well put together without being pretentiousness.

  • I had stopped in before a show and was not disappointed. The restaurant itself was beautiful and once I sat down Yusuf my server was quick to assist me in taking my order. He had great suggestions and asked if I was allergic to anything just to make sure I was safe. It was fantastic. It is worth the price for authentic French cuisine.

  • Couldn't help but compare this place to Buvette and I think Buvette > Boucherie (with the exception of the croissant) The belgian waffle was good not great. The mascarpone & fruits were nice! We got the plain croissant and it was amazing! A more refined version of Aux Merveilleux de Fred. We got the mocha and it was great! We got the orange juice and it felt like it was bottled and not fresh but was told it was. So could be the oranges. It was average The biggest let down was the Norwegian eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was great, salmon was above average but the potatoes and the caramelized onions were a bit too soggy to our liking. Service was really good, thanks to Mr. YAMAN. He's so good at coordinating everything and we'll come back for him once more.

  • I had such a wonderful experience at Boucherie West End. We ordered espresso martinis, scallops, escargot, steak frites, and the mushroom ravioli — and genuinely everything was delicious. Each dish was beautifully prepared and full of rich flavor. A special shout-out to our server, Yusuf, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the entire meal even better. His recommendations were spot-on and his service elevated the night. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a warm atmosphere, great drinks, and outstanding food.

  • A decent French bistro chain near the Hudson Square area. It's overall find for a business lunch, but I can't say that I was particularly impressed by any of the food. The burger was cooked well, but lacking in flavor as it was underseasoned. I feel that same way with many of the appetizers. The desserts were probably the best points of the meal overall. The chocolate mousse was decadent and had a deep comically flavor. The service was overall very good as they servers were attentive, however there is a high chance that this is due to being one of the only 2 groups for lunch that particular day. Overall, is not a bad place if you need a safe choice of you're in the area.

  • The beautiful room instantly transports you to somewhere outside of the city the moment you step inside. We started our meal with the fantastic cheese and meat platters. The charcuterie featured high-quality jambon and a French-style salami. The meats were accompanied by classic accouterments like crisp cornichons, pickled vegetables, and a sharp Dijon mustard. The accompanying bread was a simple but perfectly enjoyable canvas (or just "perfectly enjoyable"). The Niçoise salad was excellent. The seared tuna was fresh, generous, and perfectly cooked. The sea bass was beautifully presented in a rich, flavorful red sauce studded with savory chunks of lardon. However, the fish itself was a disappointment. The sea bass was overcooked, resulting in a texture that was dry, chewy, and unpleasant. Despite the setback with the main course, the overall experience was excellent. I would return to have a drink at the bar or try other entrées.
